Our vision

From our farms in Ghana, all the way to the box.

One hundred percent of our cocoa is sustainable and originates from Ghana. Here is where it goes next — and where we intend to take it.

Our vision

It is Cocoa Asante's goal to own our entire chocolate production process.

Although 100% of our cocoa is sustainable and originates from Ghana, due to the way cocoa is regulated, we are unable to access cocoa in bulk directly from family-owned farms. We must either buy it unprocessed from the government, or processed from European chocolate companies.

It is our long-term goal to change this. We would like to raise enough capital to build a cocoa factory in Ghana. This will allow us to cut out unnecessary middlemen and return more of the profits to the farmers, as it should be. That way our chocolate is not only sustainable for the environment, but also for the communities who work so diligently to produce the truffles we enjoy.

How our chocolate is made

Every bar and bonbon travels this route, from the farm to your hands.

  1. Grown in Ghana

Cocoa is grown on our family farms in Ghana.

  2. Processed

Cocoa beans are processed into cocoa butter and powder.

  3. Combined

Cocoa chips are made by combining the various ingredients.

  4. Shipped to the US

Cocoa chips are shipped to our kitchen in Chattanooga.

  5. Made by hand

Truffles are made, packaged and shipped to stores.

  6. Yours to enjoy

Customers buy from stores, or directly from us.

Our long-term goal is to move steps two and three to our own factory in Ghana.
